The mind is like a fertile field-all sorts of things can grow there.
When we plant a seed- an act, a statement, or a thought- it will eventually produce a fruit, which will ripen and fall to the ground and perpetuate more of the same.
Moment by moment we plant potent seeds of causation with our body, speech, and mind.
When the right conditions come together for our karma to ripen, we will have to deal with the consequences of what we have planted.
